| So I'm reviving my blog!! Over a year later. This is partially due to the lack of contact with my friends whom I love dearly and the need to vent sometimes, ya know? So, yeah...we'll see if I keep up with it. I plan to, though. | | |
| Nobody reads Xanga anymore...that's kinda sad. I feel sick right now...ugh... | | |
| Great...this is what's gonna happen to me: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/programmes/from_our_own_correspondent/6405629.stm After years of spending time with the gorillas, she's lost the ability of small talk...The whole project she's pioneering is really interesting though: raising gorilla bushmeat orphans and trying to get them to mate with each other rather than think of each other as brother and sister, thus increasing population levels. Tres interresante. | | |
| So apparently, chimps have now been seen making wooden spears to hunt for bushbabies. Cool (yet, for some reason the researchers seem astonished as if they didn't know that chimps hunt...they've just never been observed making tools...that's supposed to be a human trait). So if chimps are capable of doing something like this, who knows what kind of amazingness gorillas and orangutans are capable of? Oh, and it's also pretty cool that only the female chimps were seen making the spears...because we're smart like that. Basically, where would the human population be without females? They never get enough credit for innovation in archaeological research. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070223/ap_on_sc/chimpanzee_hunting http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20070222/sc_nm/chimps_hunting_dc_1 Cool. And this is just because it's cute...hugging monkeys: http://sciencenow.sciencemag.org/cgi/content/full/2007/221/2
